INFORMATION REGARDING STORM DARRAGH

LCC Highways, the Environment Agency and United Utilities will be liaising with local councils and emergency services and planning teams to monitor the effects of Storm Darragh over the next few days.

Here are some useful telephone numbers/websites if you need any assistance:

Foul water ingress (dirty water coming from sewers)  - United Utilities  0345 672 3723

Long lasting ponding of water in the road - 0300 123 6780 or email enquiries@lancashire.gov.uk. Alternatively, report it through the Love Clean Streets app or via the website Lancashire Report It - Login.

Flooding from the river should be reported to the Environment Agency on the GOV.UK website (report an environmental incident)

If you are unfortunate to have flooding coming into your private property the county's Flood Risk Management Team will want to know so that it can be investigated properly and identify whether there may be a case for grant funding to help with long-term improvements in the area. Please report on the LCC website on this page - Flooding - Lancashire County Council or by ringing 0300 123 6780. You can also report by emailing enquiries@lancashire.gov.uk giving as much details as possible. Your information will only be shared with other drainage authorities for a full investigation under carefully controlled data protection  processes.
